A personal challenge with 5 star back up. Meeting people who (I think) share a similar approach to cycling, travel and life. Your routes were fantastic, Sam. Every day slightly different. Scenery, roads and gradients constantly varied. Great riding always. Food was beyond expectations. Glutinous breakfasts, healthy lunches and stunning dinners…even for veggos! The accommodation was luxurious. Beds regenerated tired bodies overnight. Impressive swimming pools were always a bonus too. Last, but certainly not least , were the guides. Enrico’s knowledge of the countries we rode through was enlightening. It was almost embarrassing to have such a person do room service for us when we were locked down. Dario couldn’t do enough for us and what can you say about Marjolein? She is so capable and genuine. She made every one of us feel special and gave the best massages ever. I would do future tours for the guides alone! It was great having you there Sam. Loved the history and your calm approach to the day to day, no matter what.
