So here we go again! After 2 years and 2 re-schedulings, the Bike Odyssey’s Othello will make its full debut! Marrakesh Morocco to Porto Portugal, 2,449km(1,521 miles), 34 days.
We will ride through the High Atlas Mountains, the Tizi-n-Test, the Dades Valley and Todra Gorge. Where we can’t ride our bikes we will ride camels, yes that’s right, camels! At Nador, we rack the bikes and ferry across the Mediterranean to Almeria Spain. Riding again through the Sierra Nevada mountains(Caudal Evans training grounds!), Andalucia, then to Portugal, where the Alentejo region, the Serra da Estrela, and Duoro Valley awaits. And finally to beautiful Porto!
So this is my route on the Marrakesh Express…come onboard that train with me, it’s going to be quite a ride!
A word about the logo, it is a combination of the ancient Moroccan symbol for proetection/safety above and the iconic Bike Odyssey trademark below.
