Saying au revoir and a bientot to Bike Odyssey alum, we headed back to Sydney for the last 2 nights of this 38 day adventure. I owe a big debt of gratitude to my friends Michael and Louise for letting me stay in their beautiful apartment again. Thanks so much!
Again Andrew took me on a more scenic route back to Sydney by way of Berry and Wollongong. But before we left town we stopped at the beach to see a few of our group and one last look at the beautiful beach…some yoga class in progress and looked like they would take an ice bath afterwards.

Then to Kraken Sourdough Bakery for a long black and fruit bun, both excellent. I will miss Aussie coffee, even though they are $5 per cup…I guess that’s the price one pays for quality!

First stop was to Bike Odyssey’s World Headquarters in Berry. Got to sit in the nerve centre where it all happens!

It’s a haute categorie climb to get to the office and Sam and Isabel’ beautiful home and property, no wonder Sam is such a good climber ( we drove up)! I’m sorry we couldn’t meet up with Nicky and Tina as it was Sunday. But we did get to hang out with Sam and meet son Jack and Isabel’s Dad Bob. (Annie was inside keeping the dogs at bay lol). And have another good coffee and cakes. Thanks Sam!

On to Woologong and coastline, a really beautiful ride…if there was no traffic it would be an awesome ride. There is an annual downhill road race along this road

Driving through the outer suburbs of Sydney and past the airport and back to Miller’s Point at Walsh Bay. One last stop at the Lord Nelson and Palisades pubs, then tried to visit a few of Andrew’s old haunts. But due to St Patrick’s Day being on Tuesday, the pubs were jammed 2 days early so we only could find a seat at the iconic Hero Of Waterloo pub where we had dinner and imbibed a little.
