Distance:   63 km     Total Ascent:   805 metres

Possibly one of the most glorious days of cycling.  A sunny but cool start to the day as we wound up through the valley.  A fairly constant gradient for the most part with just enough steep pinches to keep you honest.

So lovely to pass through the Berber communities as they went about their daily activities. Clearly the tourist popularity of this area (along with better access to water from the River Dades) has made a very positive impact on these villages. 

The real drawcard of this ride was the final section of the 30km climb where the road zigzagged up through some impressive switchbacks.  After coffee on the sunny terrace half the group decided to push on for another 20kms.  Gaylene & I lingered over a very pleasant coffee before the most delightful cruise back down the switchbacks, catching up with Bernie at a terraced cafe for lunch.

Just an excellent day.
