Left Windsor at 4pm, connecting in Toronto for a 10pm flight to Copenhagen losing 6 hours and arriving at 11:35 am local time. Luggage and bike got here too.
A beautiful airport in Copenhagen, easy to manoeuvre but very spaced out, walked 0.55 miles from the gate to luggage carousel #7, oversized items(bike) goes to Carousel #1 and exit to the taxis is across from Carousel #6.
My path to luggage & bike
The airport is only about a 20 minute taxi ride to the tune of $83CDN but it was cool to see how the new outer city with some unique architecture blends together with old buildings as we drove closer to the ancient city centre.
I knew Scandinavia was going to be expensive but the sticker shock set in immediately, for example $13.50 for a pint of Tuborg, $7.50 for a Coke, cafes and restaurants too.
And this city truly one for cyclists, bikes are everywhere and more people riding than driving, a multitude of rental bikes and hundreds of kilometres of dedicated bike lanes.
More wandering tomorrow, maybe a cruise in and around the canals of this vibrant, active and eco-conscious city. My fellow besirkers are starting to arrive, we gather in 2 days to begin this inaugural odyssey!

Glad everything arrived in one piece. A good start for what promises to be an amazing adventure
