A big but really enjoyable day. Most of the climbing (1100m) was done by the 40km mark so some long glorious descents were the reward.  However, the road quality varied from reasonable to dirt & potholes so a lot of concentration was needed.  

We went through a lot of Berber villages setup with roadside stalls displaying their pottery (earthenware tagine pots going for 30 dirhams (3 Euro), and colourful rugs.  

Lots of kids on the roadside wanting to get ‘high fives’ as we cycled past.  Some were a bit too enthusiastic and slapped our arms as we tried to stay on the road and upright. 

The small town of Ourika had some of us missing the route and doing interesting detour right through the markets and across a temporary but rickety bridge.
