Distance:   75 km     Total Ascent:   1,145 metres

A bit of relief from the extreme heat today particularly as we were climbing 37 km to the top of the pass for a well earned lunch before retracing our route back to the hotel. 

Amazing roads, lots of switchbacks, minimal car and truck traffic – predominantly more motorcycles, laden-down donkeys and dust.

Did I mention the dust?  It’s like the Aussie outback but without the flies – it gets everywhere.
