Distance:   60 km     Total Ascent:   240 metres

After overnight in our lovely tent, the wind dropped and it was a pleasant temperature to view the sunrise. Very quiet and peaceful with time to reflect on our Moroccan experience so far.

All too soon it was back to 2 wheeled steeds for the ride to Erfoud.  Fairly flat  and bleak rocky landscape, interspersed with the occasional building and traditional rammed earth house. 

The headwind was back with a vengeance, along with the dust, so we bunched  into small pace line groups to make the going just a bit easier.  And then it rained! Only a small bit –  but with the wind it felt like large hail.  So I guess that’s a different Saraha experience.
