Ever hopeful I kept checking my bag location and, despite multiple calls and escalation to urgent status, I see my little bag departing on the CDG-SIN flight. So best possible scenario (if they can get their act together) is that my bag gets on a return connecting flight and arrives in 2 days time!

So time to explore the Medina. Initially it was very overwhelming as I wasn’t in the best frame of mind and it was chaotic walking around the narrow maze of lanes crowded with people, motorbikes, donkeys and street sellers.

After wandering through the alleys and souks full of frenetic activity, our visit to Le Jardin Secret was a very peaceful interlude. This is a beautifully restored palace and garden showcasing traditional Islamic architecture.
