This post will cover the next 3 days that some of us managed to spend in Paris.<\/p>\n

Saturday 27th July<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Time for us to spread all over Europe or head for home…<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

About 9 of us headed for Colmar train station to head to Strasbourg and catch the TVG to Paris. We hit speeds around 320kph that afternoon… Scotty you need to delete that Strava entry…<\/p>\n

Ssshhh don’t tell the train conductor…<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

We arrive at Gare d’lest station and decided to walk to the hotel, 6km away, with bike bags…<\/p>\n

Stand aside the bike bag train is coming through…<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Are we lost? Should we ask that lady? Nah…<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

We made it to the hotel, dumped gear and went for a walk…<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

a mix of the old and new…<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Sunday 28th July<\/strong><\/p>\n

Its the final stage of the Tour de France today…<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

We found a spot near the Place de la Concorde where there was a pinch point on the route. great viewing…<\/p>\n

The Caravan arriving….<\/p>\n

\"\" \"\"<\/p>\n

Happy campers….<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Finally, the race arrives. 8 laps of mayhem…<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Yey for Caleb Ewan who won his 3rd stage of this year’s tour.<\/p>\n

Thankyou Big Bus, you saved my legs…<\/p>\n

The Louvre. didn’t bother, too many many people…<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

The left bank of the Seine<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

the low point of the day. Notre Dame, so sad…<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

That tower…<\/p>\n

High fashion Paris style. The pigeon poo hair do will be all the rage this summer in Australia…<\/p>\n

Beautiful Boulevards and apartments…<\/p>\n

One of the highlights was a visit to\u00a0Les Invalides <\/em>which houses the war museum and Napoleons tomb…<\/p>\n
