This morning (after checking on my bag status – (it was now back in Paris with Air France) we met up with our other Othello<\/a> riders, mostly Aussies (from VIC & ACT) with a couple of ring-ins from Canada, USA and UK – so a total of 13 plus our guides Bruno & Enrico. For many of the group it was their 2nd, 3rd or even 4th Bike Odyssey trip.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The day was taken up with bike assembly and a short ride around the outside of the Medina.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An afternoon city tour with Mustapha, then drinks and a lovely rooftop Terrace dinner where we could view the Atlas Mountains that we would be cycling over.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Afterwards we navigated the winding Medina alleys- which looked entirely unrecognisable without the colourful stalls to provide visual landmarks, to arrive at the bustling main square Jemaa el-Fnaa where the locals gathered to participate in storytelling, games, snake charming and of course feasting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But for me, the highlight of the day was undoubtedly being reunited with my suitcase (and the all important cycling gear) after its 5 day disappearing act.
