\nA word about Turkish Customs: we sailed into Marmaris harbour at 4pm, and sat floating for 2 1\/2 hr waiting for Customs to allow the captain to dock. Then we walked about 300yards to the Customs office and stood in line to be processed, only our 20 and 8 crew , no others going through.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\" \"\"\u00a0One bonus was my chance to see super yacht transporter ships; these amazing vessels allow the yachts to float inside them and be hoisted up, then moved across oceans for the owner. And saw a few mega yachts too!<\/p>\n

We are still in line and it is 8:30pm. About 1hr ago the only Customs officer on duty decided he needed a smoke break and check his messages, so he\u00a0<\/span>gets up and walks out, with the\u00a0 12 of us remaining still waiting to clear.<\/p>\n

\"\" \"\"<\/p>\n

We were told it was a glitch in the system \u2026.we sat for dinner about 9:15pm. A good night\u2019s sleep!<\/p>\n

This morning, the captain had to motor away from the dock and go about\u00a0 <\/span>1\/2 km to another spot\u00a0 <\/span>of the docking area, but not without having to taxi around in the harbour for an hour waiting for Customs to let us dock.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

We took our bikes and luggage off at that point, walked them to a ferry about 600yds away, then walked all the way back to go through Customs again\u2026I should have had my Strava going! Another 45 minutes to get passport stamped. Another system glitch? I tend to doubt it. Then another 900 yd walk back to the ferry with a few minutes spare. <\/span><\/p>\n

Despite this border checking process, we had a wonderful last onboard dinner last night and breakfast this morning\u2026life is good in Marmoris!<\/span><\/p>\n

A fabulous 6 days onboard our\u00a0<\/span>Gulet with exceptional crew, who could not do enough for us.<\/p>\n

On to Rhodes for our last island ride!\"\"<\/span><\/p>\n
