Beautiful Kos! Our ride took us the length of the island today as our gulet cruised ahead, ready to pick us up in Keralos. We started our ride along the bikepath with the Aegean on our left, soon turning up the hill and away from the busiest part of the island. We climbed up through Aleppo pines with views all the way to Turkey! As we rode past the ancient Asclepion of Kos, known as one of the greatest healing centres of the ancient world, we may ask for some help!

But to be honest, the grades are gradual and underneath the shade of the cool pines with glimpses through across the blue waters we will be more than fine!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After coffeeing in the stunning town of Zia we descend crossing the island taking the high road to Kefalos. As we near we will see our fleet sitting in the harbour waiting for our arrival!

After a swim, then lunch onboard \u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

we cruised to Nisiros (11NM \u2013 1h30min) and finish the day with a sunset walk in Nisyros and dinner onboard. 
The waves were quite heavy which made for a rocky but fun ride, some slept through it!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kos – The Island<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Kos has immense selection of superb beaches, which are usually found on the south coast. Naturally, most of activities on the island are based around the water. The swimming possibilities are plenty and it is a great place for diving or snorkelling as well. Moreover, Kos is an excellent place for windsurfing, jet-skiing or even sailing in your own yacht. There are plenty of day-tripper boats which can take you to other nearby islands, as well as to Turkey if you wish.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The mountain villages on the island possess a remarkable beauty and it can easily be visited either by car, bus or bicycle. Kos is also a place for some of the world\u2019s most fascinating historical sites that are all worth a visit. Many of the structures were built somewhere between 3rd to 4th century B.C.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The island is home to beautiful ancient sites, castles, and museums, as well as stunning landscapes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
